Android Oreo : What's new for Android Users

What Android Oreo has to offer to Android users and developers

Android Oreo, that’s the official name of the next version of the OS, is now out for developers. It is said that Android Oreo has entered the carrier testing phase for both Pixel and Nexus. So updates for the latest Nexus and Pixel devices can be seen soon.

Today, we are going to list all the possible things that Android Oreo has to offer to its users and also to its developers.

2x The Speed

Android Oreo offers 2 times the boot speed when powering up. This means getting started on your tasks becomes quick and easy. Android Oreo solves one major issue. It reduces the background activity of the apps that are least used by you.

Autofill

Android Oreo has a feature called Autofill. It is okay if you forget your login credentials because it remembers and lets you into your apps without any delay. It does this with your permission. And also allows you to see two apps at once.

Notification Dots

Android Oreo shows notification dots that show what’s new. You can easily clear them by swiping them away. It helps you transport directly into new apps right from your browser. It doesn’t even require installation.

Battery Life Is Probably The Best Feature

Google Play Protect constantly works to keep your device and data safe from apps that create problems. It does that by scanning over 50 billion apps per day. It’s also a real lifesaver. You can be sure about keeping your battery's life full and powerful, with whatever you are doing and wherever you are. Android Oreo lets you express yourself in more ways with a fully redesigned emoji set. This set includes over 60 new emojis.

Accessibility Buttons

There are Accessibility Buttons on the Android Oreo. They can be operated right from the navigation bar. Accessibility services offer the best audio experience to you. There will also be Adaptive Icons. These Adaptive Icons will be covered by OEMs to ensure intra-device consistency.

Ambient Screen

Android Oreo offers a more ambient screen that highlights the incoming notification with larger font, highlighted app name, and instant access to actions. You will be able to have more control over how apps run in the background. This results in a better overall performance of the system. There are limits put to the frequency of location updates in the background.

Full-Color Management

Android Oreo enables applications to give out lavish and mindblowing visual content. It manages to do that with more lively colors and minute details. Android Oreo reinforces full-color management. This allows applications to show images in the format and quality they were intended to be shown. The applications on your phone don’t have to have custom fonts anymore. This only helps in reducing their size.

More Control Over Apps

On Android Oreo, unknown apps can’t operate without your permission. Installation of APKs will require your permission in order to be installed. It also lets you allot files using web links on the Internet. Using Android Oreo, you will have more detailed and consistent control over which notifications can appear and how invasive they are. You can also hide notifications for a particular period of time. Android Oreo has some of the biggest changes to Android to date. These include a modular architecture. This way the task of delivering Android updates becomes easier.

Easier For Developers

The size of the text can now be enlarged or reduced on its own by Developers. This can be done using TextView, which shows the size and characteristics. This will make it much easier to use the text size on different screens. Android O will automatically connect you to high-quality open WiFi. It then secures your connection with a VPN back to Google.

It will be Android 8.0, following Android Nougat. The new OS, Android Oreo, is expected to arrive on devices by the end of this year.
